We employ over 130 individuals. We are proud to say that we have a
long-term employee base with 28% of our employees having worked at
Presbyterian Village for over 15 years. With several working over 20 and
25 and even two over 30 years. Our employees say that Presbyterian
Village is like one big family.
We value our employees and therefore offer a comprehensive benefits
package as follows:
Coffee Shop - Lunch meals are available at a very reduced
cost to employees in our onsite coffee shop. The coffee shop offers
hot food service that includes a choice from two entrees, vegetables
and bread, a salad bar, dessert and several drink choices. Lunch
meals are conveniently paid for through employee payroll deduction.
Retirement - Employees are eligible to begin participation in the
403(b) plan after six-months of employment. We match the employee’s
contribution up to 6% of his/her gross pay earned per pay period. We
encourage all eligible employees to participate in the plan to provide
income for retirement years.
Health Insurance - A health insurance plan is available,
partially at the employee’s expense, for employees who work at least
30 hours per week. Benefits become effective on the first day of the
month following 90 continuous days of employment. The plan also
includes Life, Accidental Death and Dismemberment Benefits and Dental
Plan.
Supplemental Insurance - Life, Cancer, Hospitalization,
Disability, Accident and Intensive Care Insurance Policies are
available at the employee’s cost.
Credit Union – Employees are eligible to become members of
The Arkansas Federal Credit Union. Some of the services that the
credit union provides are: savings accounts, checking accounts, money
market accounts, certificates of deposit, individual retirement
accounts, access to ATM’s, low cost credit, auto loans, VISA card and
many more services. We offer payroll deductions for this service.
Service Awards – Our employees are recognized each quarter
with a presentation of service awards. Awards are given after the
completion of 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years of consecutive
employment. Employees select a gift of their choice from a catalog.
Vacation - Our vacation plan is designed to provide you with
the opportunity for recreation and escape from the everyday routine.
New employees begin earning vacation upon hire date and are eligible
to use vacation after 6 months of employment. Employees are
eligible for up to 10 days of vacation from 6 months to 5 years of
consecutive employment. After 6 years of consecutive employment employees are eligible
for 15 vacation days.
Holidays - Full-time employees are eligible for six paid
holidays in each calendar year. Holidays observed are: New Year’s Day,
Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas
Day.
Personal Leave – Full time employees earn one-half day of
personal leave per month beginning the first full calendar month
following ninety days of consecutive employment. Part time employees
can earn personal leave days on a pro rata basis determined by the
number of hours worked. Employees are allowed to accumulate up to
thirty personal leave days.
Employee Assistance – This program is designed to help
employees and their family with personal problems. Counseling is
available off site from Presbyterian Village for most personal
problems. The program is available at no charge to the employee and/or
family and is confidential.
Scholarship - The Presbyterian Village Auxiliary offers a
scholarship program to eligible employees. This is available to
qualified employees that wish to further their education in the
nursing field.
