Activities

There’s rarely a day that goes by without some fun because our activity staff is always planning something exciting. Our activities are tailored to the interest and abilities of each resident whether it be a game of dominoes, attending a ‘good fortune’ party, a trip to the local dinner playhouse, watching a movie and having popcorn in our great room.  See the “Latest News page” for our activity schedule

Religious Life

Religious activities available to all residents include devotions, noon-day prayers, Bible study groups, Sunday School, Sunday Worship service and Sunday evening Vespers service. These are led by our staff Chaplain and a variety of community clergy and lay ministers.

Transportation

We provide transportation to many local physician’s offices. We provide transportation on a scheduled basis to aquatic classes, educational sessions, area grocery and discount stores. One of our three vehicles is equipped with a wheelchair lift.

Dining

Three meals a day are prepared by our dietary staff. Each living area has it’s own dining room. We also offer private dining for your special occasions in one of our two conference rooms. Residents have the opportunity to provide creative input and suggestions to enhance their dining experience.

Communication Center

Communicate with your family and friends through your own private e-mail address at the Communication Center. If you are not up on the latest computer frenzy, that’s ok, we also provide a typewriter.

Fitness

You can choose wheelchair ballet in the health care center or exercise class in the Lodge and if that doesn’t fit your schedule you can work out on your own in our exercise room that is always open. We also provide transportation to aquatic classes.

Pampering

We can take care of all your pampering needs in two beauty/barber shops. They are conveniently located in the Lodge and Health Care Center.

Library

We have a very extensive selection of books in our library for your enjoyment. The library is located in the great room and sunroom where you can comfortably sit and read a good book.

Village Store

In case you don’t feel like going out to do your shopping, we offer a store onsite. We stock greeting cards, sundries, detergents hygiene items. By the way, our residents volunteer as storekeepers because living at the Village allows them to continue to be active even in their retirement years.

Call System

Each living quarters no matter what area you live in is equipped with a call system that provides residents with access to our Health Care Center.

24-Hour Maintenance

Our maintenance staff is on call 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, which means any problem that might come will be addressed immediately.

Security

Your safety and security is very important to us therefore we contract with a company to provide service on our grounds during the evening hours.

Pharmacy

Many area pharmacies provide delivery service for your medications.

Dry Cleaning

Dry cleaning services are offered through an outside source. They offer pick up and drop service off twice a week for your convenience.

Dental Office

For your convenience we offer a dental office in our Health Care Center.

Onsite Therapy

We offer a wide array of therapy services onsite through an outside source.
